Acid etching is a several hundred year-old process in which strong acids are used to burn away certain areas of a pre-made design. This alternate type of engraving is commonly done in base metals, and more delicately, in silver. |

|
Kimberly uses her own sketches, graphics, and some actual photographs as templates for her designs. She etches into brass (with a varnish coating to protect from tarnishing) and sterling silver. |
|
All pieces come with an anti-tarnish pouch for added protection. However, as with any fine jewelry, they should always be kept away from moist environments, stored in a closed compartment (jewelry box or bag), and away from
perfumes. Pieces can be sent for clean-up and re-varnishing at no charge. |
