Acid etching is a several hundred year-old process in which strong acids are used to burn away certain areas of a pre-made design.

This alternate type of engraving is commonly done in base metals, and more delicately, in silver.

Kimberly uses her own sketches, graphics, and some actual photographs as templates for her designs.

She etches into brass (with a varnish coating to protect from tarnishing) and sterling silver.

All pieces come with an anti-tarnish pouch for added protection. However, as with any fine jewelry, they should always be kept away from moist environments, stored in a closed compartment (jewelry box or bag), and away from
perfumes.

Pieces can be sent for clean-up and re-varnishing at no charge.
